기숙사에서 Fire Alarm 화재경보가 울리는데도 건물밖에 나가지 않으면 계약상 300달러의 벌금을 물수 있도록 되어있습니다. 

2d) Fire Alarm System and Fire Safety. It is mandatory that all residents evacuate the building immediately when a building-wide fire alarm sounds, regardless of the cause of the alarm. Scheduled fire drills are no exception to this rule. Residents that fail to evacuate immediately during an alarm are subject to a three hundred dollars ($300) fine. Repeated violations will be grounds for termination of this Agreement and removal from RGSH. Should a resident have the housing agreement terminated, he or she will still be financially responsible for the remaining time left on the agreement. If you cause any false fire alarms, you will be liable for any related costs and expenses.

여기서 휴스턴 소방국에서 추가로 벌금을 물 수 있기에, 화재경보나 훈련이 발생할 경우, 무조건 참여하고 지시를 따르는 것이 좋습니다.

• 기본적으로 알아두어야할 사항은 건물에서 나올 때는 지갑, 열쇠, 휴대전화 및 귀중품을 들고, 제일 가까운 계단을 이용해 나갑니다.
• 가스레인지나 오븐을 무조건 끄고 나갑니다.
• 이미 나온 상태에서 다른 지시없이는 건물에 재입장하시면 안됩니다.
• 나온 건물 건너편 도로에 서있는 것이 원칙상으로 제일 아무 문제없고, 차도나 건물입구 그리고 게이트를 막아 서는 것을 피해야합니다.
